City tour with Buantan Institute
Half day tour of Sao Paulo, beginning with a tour through down town (the oldest area where the city was founded) ,the residencial area of Higienopolis, followed by another residencial area, Pacaembu and its football stadium. Coffee Plantation tour
Departure in the morning to Campinas, 99 km from Sao Paulo. Visit to the coffee-farm Monte D'este, 21 km from Campinas. Visit to the main building of the farm, constructed more than 80 years ago. Actually, the farm has an area of 900 ha, with coffee as its principal product, in a cultivated area of 200 ha, or 400 000 coffee trees (Arabic), which gives an anual production of 5000 sacks of coffee. Departure from the hotel to Holambra, 130 km west of Sao Paulo. Holambra is a Brazilian/Dutch co-operative, where Dutch descendants cultivate flowers and other plants and they try to maintain their cultural roots. Holambra is the biggest exporter of flowers in Latin America, exporting to many countries in Europe and to Canada. During the visit we will see the cultivation of the flowers, the picking and storing in the cold-storage room...
