Mirante do Gavião – 4 days

Gavião Uiraçu – Anavilhanas, Madadá and local initiatives

4 days / 3 nights Easy to moderate Full board according to package conditions

Mirante do Gavião suits travellers who want to experience the Amazon without giving up excellent accommodation, thoughtful food and time to enjoy the lodge between excursions.

Gavião Uiraçu is the shortest stay we normally recommend, combining Anavilhanas boat life with local perspectives in Novo Airão and a longer nature day at Madadá.

Excursion order is set locally, so the itinerary shows a likely sequence rather than a fixed timetable.

Mirante do Gavião Amazon Lodge

Easy to moderate

Good to know

The day-by-day programme shows a possible sequence. The lodge determines excursion order according to logistics, weather, water level and group arrangements.

The included road transfer is private and normally takes about three hours between Manaus and Novo Airão. Transfer windows and exact pick-up location are confirmed at booking.

Anavilhanas changes markedly with the water level. Sand beaches emerge at low water; at high water, boats and paddlers can travel through flooded forest.

Wildlife moves freely and sightings can never be guaranteed.

Mirante do Gavião and Expedição Katerre are closely connected. The lodge was originally created as a base for Katerre expeditions and combines particularly well with a river journey.

The programme can be booked separately or combined with flights, hotels and other parts of a tailor-made journey. Exact inclusions and price are stated in SambaTravel’s proposal.
